not too bad for a first car. that shading style is tough to get right on any car. bottom line is that there isnt nearly enough depth the way it is, the corners look like they ar curling down and i dont think they should be, the scoop is half-defined, and the whole car has a rather flat feeling to it. it definately needs som work, and definately some more depth.

This is annoying as hell. Here's the comment that came with this car: "good work. a cop pickup. for ste.sty. enjoy! no gif. see it!" Now, in order to review this car, I had to open up the zip and piss about with the image viewer to get a look at it. And you people out there have nothing to go on apart from a screencap of a man in a green jumper, jumping on a Bug. Which is not even what's in the zip ffs. I have to have a gif. to review it. Otherwise, much like now in fact, I simply cannot be bothered. The score tells you all you need to know. Beyond that, I don't care. Next time, no gif. and it gets deleted.

If ever I get invited to a big posh celebrity bash, I want to go in one of these. This is the first time I've gotten the chance to review a Mahjqa car, so please forgive the rampant fan-boyishness of my review. It's a GTA2 car, what else can I say? It's perfectly shaded, it's got an interesting shape, there are many versions and they're all good... Ahem, pause for breath. Seriously, the wealth of different versions, all can, as usual, be remapped without a fuss. I'm looking forwards to cruising around in the Aphex Twin version especially. Plus there's a nice shortened version too. Deltas are good, love the gull-wings. Umm, anything else? Not really. Mahjqa's style isn't just a rendition of the original style, it IS the style, so it'll fit in perfectly with every other car in the game, while being cool stand out. No bad thing in my book. More please.

Holy shite. I wasn't expecting this. There hasn't been a GTA2 upload in months, so imagine my shock when I find this sexy little number. Cheers Meklo. Two small gips. Firstly, it's not as shiny and silvery as its GTA counterpart. Not a massive problem, it still has quite a mean and moody look to it that works just as well. Secondly, I'm not sure about the highlight on the spoiler. I just think it's a tad too bright. Once again, nothing major. In truth, it is arguably the best thing I've seen on this fairly empty page for... Ooh, ages. Naturally, when we finally get the massive backlog of Two awards out of the way, this will be among them... I'll totally not mention those slightly wierd door deltas. Oops.

Oi. Whats this? A nice car in the uploads list? Cool. From one of the coolest classic carmakers, Zbee and one of the coolest GTA2'ers comes this neat little gem. I may not know the car too well, so I'm in no position to jusdge it for accuracy, but I know what I like. Kabs reshade is top, it looks neat, tidy, nice deltas, so on, so forth... Ah what the hell, you can see it there, right next to the review. Just get it. A two award methinks...

Altogether now... DAN DA DA DAAA!! Sorry, got a bit carried away. Ahem, anyways. Its KITT. What more can I say? You picked a dodgy colour for a first car. Black is always a massive bugger to shade. Either way, its done well. Also, I can't score this too high on the originality front. There have probably been quite a few KITTs here at GTAzz, although I don't know if there's ever been a GTA2 version. Whatever, pass! Next time, could somebody please make me a Herbie though?

Reworks are a dodgy buisiness. No matter how well done they are, it's an automatic low score I'm afraid. With permission from GBX, Villan4Life has done some good here. The shape is remodeled and close to spot on for a 206, as is the detail. The bad points, those garish brake lights and the horrible mess that is the windscreen area. Alright the windscreen isn't too bad, but it looks like somebody has taken the glass out. The dashboard is nice, but ultimatly, it doesn't work. I can't score this any higher than borderline, because GBX did a lot of the work. Despite all of its good qualities, I'm afraid rules are rules.

You know me. Always a sucker for a cute car. The name "mouse" is totally fitting. I want to pet this thing and feed it cheese. The headlights look like two little beady eyes and all it's missing is a tail. Right, enough fawning, criticism time. The only thing I don't really like about it is the chalky shading. It isn't overly bad or anything, but it makes the car seem slightly blank and uninteresting. The front seems slightly flat too. There isn't that much difference between light and dark. I would suggest that in future, you start with a darker base colour before shading. But what the hell, I can't stay angry at this sweet little car. Its those damn headlights. They're staring at me, I swear... Nurse! My pills!

Yeah okay, this one passes. Just. Everyone starts somewhere I suppose and this is as good as can be for a first. Two versions of the same car, very nice but very... Bland. There is no gradient to the shading, only bright bits and slightly less bright bits. The windows are well done, but the detail is also a little on the poor side and there are many nasty jagged areas. The shape is very good for a Sierra. I've seen much worse for a first car. Much, much worse. A couple of hints though: First, try and get hold of a copy of Psp. That should make things a lot easier, shading wise. Second, get your arse over to the forums and post your next car up there. That should get you enough feedback to help improve on your shading technique. Like I say, great stuff for a first.

I don't know what it is about this one. Its just a weenie classic car, but I really like it. Once again Faze, I really do think the trunk area is slightly too bright. Not horribly so, but worth thinking about. The deltas are excellent too. Yeah, keep 'em coming.

Oh yeah. We've still got a pulse here folks, only just. I've always been quite a fan of Faze's cars and this one is particuarly neat. It's shiny, the deltas rock and I really like the shading of the windscreen. The only downside on this one is that the detail is great, up until you reach the rear of the car, where it just seems slightly blank and overlit. I'm assuming it uses GTA2 palettes because there were no Pal. files in the zip. Cool, cool.

Aye, not bad pet. Not bad at all. Ahem. Its green, mean and... quite cool actually. Puts me in mind of some seventies euro sportster. The shading is good, the shape is alright, the deltas rule. The only thing that strikes a wrong chord with me is the very front. Some very dodgy vents and it all goes a bit flat. And what is that slight bump in the top right corner? Not to worry. I think it warrants an eighty score. Just. :P

Well, I wasn't too sure about this one at all. First thing: No highlights. Sure there is shading, but you need some spots of pure white on there, give it a shine. Go read some of the wonderful and varied tutorials on this subject. Second thing: I'm something of a geek, so naturally, I love Star Wars, therefore I know full well that the shape of this one is off. Go and find some research images. Third thing: Its flat. those edges dont seem to go anywhere, they just... Stop. I hate being savage and critical, but thats what i'm here for really. Its not good, but I know damn well you could do it much better. So if you want to improve this like you say, take my advice. BTW, I wouldnt mind a Millenium Falcon. ;)

I've kept an eye on this one. Its taken shape quite well over the past few weeks. Its been well shaded, the shape has been improved somewhat, but I'm not keen on that plasticky look. Detail is kept to a bare minimum. Headlights have gone on the wonk a little bit, the bonnet is blurry and the front wings are incredibly rough, but this is still a 100% improvement on the version you uploaded a while back. Yeah, good work. :)

I'm quite suspicious here. It looks like a cut'n'shut. While most of the car is shaded GTA2 style, the windscreen is pointsourced Larabie style. Its rather messy. The deltas are poor too. I'm not convinced... In places it looks well designed, and its clear that some work has gone into this, but I have to wonder whose work it was. Jury is out.

Ah, now this is more like it. The detail is certainly questionable and the shape is uninteresting to say the least, but its supposed to be like that, right? A boring little vehichle you'd use for transporting grass cuttings and lawnmower equipment. I don't like the bed though, it just looks like a few grey lines on black and maybe the cab could have been a tad larger. It may be mundane, but its got character. Neat.

Well, it isn't great, but its not terrible. My main problem would be the massive areas of blank space and some really obvious shading lines, plus the bumper appears to be floating above the bonnet. I'm not sure what the hell is going on with the windscreen either. I can't tear it to shreds totally, as I've seen much worse and it does have a certain retro charm that would fit in well with all the other GTA2 styled cars. It reminds me of a citroen 2CV on steroids. But its faults are a major downer. A little more work and it would have been just so.

Oooh, its quite sexy, reminds me of a Ford GT40. There are two versions in the zip, and I would strongly suggest the X-600 version as shown in the gif. The normal version strikes me as somewhat bland and uninteresting. Nice, but nothing special. Deltas for both versions are passable and I especially like the idea of the brake lights, although I'm sure that would be slightly dangerous in RL. Overall, I like it. If you don't mind not having remaps, go for the X-600.

And before you comment people, I uploaded this car as the author actually wants to learn how to make cars, unlike the hundreds of other idiots who submit these days. Frankly Analog, I could spend all day typing away on how to improve your car, but it's all been said and done. I'd suggest visiting www.soapmonkey.com/vi for the tutorial's written by car maing legend Dope, and also Quintrix.co.nr, gta.niteshade.net and also right here at GTAzz. Also, I'd sign up on our forums if you haven't already done so (forums.gouranga.com), to show off your work before it's released to get some tips on how to improve it. And congrats on taking your first step.
