Alright! Now I'm not familiar with the car it's based on (somewhat of a musclecar nut if I'm truthful), I cannot deny that this does look fantastic. Don't really like that big back window, it looks slightly lopsided and bland, but meh. Again, there's a chalky pink spot, this time on the boot/trunk end. It's good stuff for all this. May I suggest you try colours other than red for your next car Faze? Or at least hue shift the GIF after you're done, they do tend to get rather samey after a while. But then, so did the de-sat blue craze IIRC. Never mind, ignore me, I'm muttering again. ;D - Main |

Inspired by Illspirits SSGTA mod. I think this is down to preference really, but I'm not keen on it. I dig fresh ideas, and interesting designs, ala many of Illy's SSGTA cars (egg shapes?) but this just looks... A bit like a bad movie prop. You know, where they take a contemporary car and just throw random bits of techy looking stuff on it to make it look futuristic. Much like the BTTF delorean in fact. Funny that. However, my personal tastes aside, it's alright. I particuarly like all the trickery inside the car. Some of the detail is a bit wierd, like that strip along the side. Although I can see what you were attempting, the shading is too bright on it, giving it the appearance of being higher than the roof. That dark soft top doesn't help. Ah, well. - Main |

Naughty naughty Faze. Compo car, so fair enough, I can post it, but it would have been nice of you to put Azz's name up there next to yours. Regardless of how much is changed and how much effort went into it, he still deserves his dues. Azz jokingly asked me to say that his original was better, but... Well, if I'm honest, I like 'em both. Whew, ducked that one. Er, good stuff this. It's red, Faze likes his red. Shape is great, shading too, but it has one sore spot. The bonnet hump highlight is chalky and pink. It's just that one little thing that bugs me on an otherwise well executed motor. I think a little more restraint would have done there. - Main |

Bling bling aiiiee, biatch. Sorry, it just needed saying. The shading of the windscreen isn't great. I don't know why, but the back seems lighter than the front, which should not be, surely? I don't dig those headlights that much either. The front of the car just looks basic. It's nice enough. - Main |

I've decided not to score as it's just a bunch of palette hacks for Faze's previously released Testarossa. Nice selection, but I can't help thinking it looks un-natural in any colour other than red. Go figure. - Main |

Ooh. It's nice. Not a lot more to say. The detail is okay I guess, as good as you're going to get for the size anyway. Another to add to Bryans fine collection of quality motors. - Main |

Unlike Azz, I don't despise Herbie. I love the beepy lil' fella... Er, car, whatever. Thomas claims this is better than any other Herbie on this site, and I'd be inclined to agree, were it not for Henriks awesome Beetle. Alright, so he didn't do a herbie, but anyways. Shape seems wrong to me. It doesn't have the bubbliness of a beetle. The shading is flat and uninspiring, worse still, dark enough to turn the white into a dull grey. It's always a bugger to get those whites white enough, so I have to give you credit for trying. Best beetle? No. Best Herbie? Maybe. - Main |

God, I love these wierd ones, but I shall not let that blind me from the flaws. Like those fairly fuzzy sides, particuarly on the right. Overall, rather chalky too. Nice design, if a little like a marraige of car twixt bob-sled. ;) - Main |

From what my memory of automotive history tells me, it would have only taken a slight fart in its general direction to make a Pinto explode, much less than all all that damage there, but hey... This actually reminds me of my very first car. Only that was white. And shitter. As with my early cars, this is much in need of some white in it's highlights. There are quite a few jagged edges and it seems a little out shape wise. Not a great effort, but it has its charm. Delta wise, don't like the smashed windows. A little unsubtle. Hey, keep it up. Head over to the forums if you want to keep going with this lark, because this shows promise. - Main |

It's very dull. There's not much to it really. Derivative box on wheels stuff. Not thrilling, not badly done, just... There. I can't really mark it down as bad, it's just that it's reminiscant of so many other cars. I suppose everybody has their generic muscle car, so hey. No bad. Extra points for some of the hacks. A few of them are pretty vile though. (purple and green? Bleagh.) - Main |

Wahay! Review time! For anyone who was wondering, I was... Er. Stuck... In a ditch... Somewhere. Or something. Anyways, this is nice, but seems rather dark. It could just be that in my experience, Ferraris are bloody bright red, eye catching machines. This one looks like it's sneaking off into the shadows. It's very well done otherwise. Looks like what I'd imagine a Ferrari looks like (in truth, not my favourite cars). Kewl. - Main |

I seem to barely remember GBX from a long time ago. I refuse to believe this is from the same guy who gave us that excellent green car *goes off to do a little search* Pins... And a couple of other alright efforts too. Hmmm. I'll be honest fella, this looks half complete. Like you got up to the basics of shading of it and just left as is. Bog all detail, chalky as all hell and not very appealing. It's just blue and black. And thats it. You say yourself that this is a crap car, but I disagree. It's more like a "couldn't be bothered to work at it" car. Next time you want to get rid of an old piece of work that bugs you, I suggest the recycle bin. You've done much better. - Main |

I'm actually quite dissapointed by Meklo's compo entry. It's not a bad car by any means. Technically, it's pretty spotless, nice deltas, fair enough. It's just so - and I can't believe I'm saying this about a Meklo car - boring. Sure, it's sporty, sure, it's got a nice shape, but the front is just a blank canvas. What's going on with the headlights? Where's the depth? The detail of the rear engine is perfection, so why couldn't that detail extend to the hood or maybe a grille? Maybe it has something to do with Meklo not being the sole designer of this car, building upon Needles' design. I dunno. 80% for what is essentially a fine car, but I'd hoped for something more outlandish and extreme. - Main |

On first impressions? Phwoaaar... On closer inspection? Okay. It reminds me of that car Alfa always keeps banging on about. You know the one. It's a Nissan. Or is it an MG? Er, doesn't matter anyways. I like it though. It has an early eighties feel. Although I'd like to have seen some chrome on there somewhere around the grille. Dunno why. Maybe I just like chrome. Now there's only one big problem with this one apart from it's inherant blue-ness. That headlight on the right looks dinted to me. Or just ever so slightly uneven. It's nice, but it doesn't have... Whats the word? Oomph. But like I say, first appearance and all. Of note, as if you didn't guess by the name, this is another one for Needles' car compo. I'll have to go do a search and find out if Needles has ever called a car 'Ruptured Spleen'. I wouldn't put it past him. - Main |

By jesus, I love this thing. It's got exactly what I like most, a touch of the unusual. Looks like an F1 car meets an old Lemans racer that shouldn't work, but somehow... It does! If you'd have just evened out the highlight on the spoiler a little more, it would be great, I'd give it another point and the pope would send his blessing, but as is... Odd looking thing this. Not sure if it's too wide, or the roof is too short. Either way, the proportions of one of them is upsetting my eyeballs. I hate trying to review moving gifs. Shading is functional, excepting that fairly oldschool window highlight. Fox tells me that this particular one is really just a palette hack test, so for what it is, it's alright. The smilie one put me in a good mood anyway. ;) - Main |

Hmmm... In some ways, this is great and in some, really bad. Tough one this. I think its because it's supposed to be rusty and mucky, the fact that the highlights aren't really there... Doesn't work for me. For what shading it has, very neat. The highlights on the detail help, thats for sure. Whats that on the roof? It seems a little small for a spare tyre. Erm. I hate reviewing stuff like this as the quality is clearly shining though. Maybe it's because it's one of your older cars Fox, I don't know. You've thrown me a curveball. Well people, look and decide for yourself. - Main |

I'm going to let this one pass because I'm all for fair chances... Right, first up, shape is pretty off for a Lancer. It suffers from the huge windows/tiny roof mistake that I've seen many a first time car maker repeat. The jagged edges need a nice smoothing out and the detail looks pretty basic, those headlights almost cartoony. Second, the shading is chalk city. The highlights are of the "barely there" kind. They need a strong point of white on the wing and roof and I'm just seeing blurred light blue. I don't like tearing into first-timers as god knows, I really think we need more car makers, but if you go and post your next car up at the forums, trust me, there's enough sheer carmaking talent hanging about there to get you going in no time. have a little faith and take this as constructive criticsm, eh? - Main |

One for Needles' compo, based on a car by him. It's neat, but it seems generic and I'm sure thats the idea. It's every 70's muscle car you've ever seen rolled into one. Well shaded, but bland. However, execution gets top marks. Extra style point there for the palette hacks though... - Main |
